Director of Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations

NOVELIC is the world’s premier provider of mmWave radar systems, perception solutions, end-to-end embedded systems, power electronics, and semiconductor solutions for the automotive and industrial sectors.

Founded in 2013, NOVELIC has built up a strong portfolio of IPs and patents relating to mmWave radar and vision-based perception, and has since shipped tailored solutions for leading automotive and industrial companies in all regions.

Since 2023, NOVELIC has been part of Sona Comstar Group, an Indian Tier 1 automotive company, paving the way towards NOVELIC establishing itself as a supplier of ADAS solutions for the Indian market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Mission: Build and run a lean, scalable end-to-end operations model that connects supply, production, logistics, and industrialization across Serbia HQ and India. 

 

1. End-to-end operations leadership 

• Lead and integrate purchasing, supply chain, production, logistics, and planning into one accountable operating model
• Establish operational KPIs, governance, and execution cadence
• Drive transparency across cost, cash, inventory, and delivery performance

2. Manufacturing and industrialization 

• Lead production ramp-up for radar and sensor products
• Drive line setup, capacity planning, tooling, process flow, and operational readiness
• Ensure industrialization is robust, scalable, and aligned with product and business needs

3. Supplier and sourcing management 

• Own sourcing strategy, supplier management, and procurement discipline
• Build a reliable supply base for electronics manufacturing and product scale-up
• Improve delivery, responsiveness, quality, and cost performance across suppliers

4. India operations build-out 

• Lead the operational setup and scaling of NOVELIC’s production and supply footprint in India
• Build the operational bridge between HQ and India
• Partner closely with Finance, Legal, and other functions on cross-border processes

5. Business line support 

• Translate business line demand and customer commitments into executable supply, production, and logistics plans
• Act as the operations partner to business line leaders and delivery leaders

6. Team and operating system build 

• Build and lead the operations organization across supply chain, logistics, production, and related support functions
• Hire, structure, and develop teams needed for the next scale-up phase
• Keep the operating model lean, simple, and execution-focused

YOUR PROFILE

Essential 

• Proven, hands-on operations leadership in (preferred: electronics) product company; running day-to-day production, supply chain, purchasing, and logistics 
• Background in automotive electronics or a comparable hardware-electronics environment manufacturers  
• Strong command of supply chain, procurement, production, and logistics, paired with strong commercial and financial understanding, with the ability to work effectively across finance, legal, and operational topics 
• Comfortable owning cross-border cash and logistics flows and standing up or scaling operations internationally 
• Strong stakeholder management in cross-organizational and cross-cultural setups 
• A lean mindset and the temperament to build, decide, and execute directly  
• Excellent English, written and spoken 

Preferred 

• Experience standing up or scaling operations globally 
• Greenfield experience: you have built operations from (or near) zero and stayed close to the floor 
• Familiarity with radar, sensor, or comparable small-form-factor electronics manufacturing  
• Awareness of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949) and ASPICE, ISO 26262 or SOTIF standards
